Well ,

2 facts that I am sure off:

1)Chicago accepted 13 Israelies up to now, Wharton more 12 or more, and UCLA 10. So it seems Israelies are a strong brand this year.

2) The number of application has risen in many schools. Haas for example have recieved 30 % more applications this year up to now.

So it seems that the MBA brand is also stronger in the US this year and therefore the competition is higher.
