It is interesting to see that many of the prestigious schools 'specialize' in non profitable organizations (MALKAR) … Any idea of how come it has such a strong presence? (I'd say it sounds like the way to get into politics…)

Well, life and culture in America lead to this. Nowadays, successful people in America are expected to "give something back" to the community. This has become a pretty strong norm. People who contribute their career to the community are often greatly appreciated, sometimes even more than those who "sell their soul" to capitalism. There's a lot to discuss around this, but this is, I think, the gist of it. Non-profit careers (and poisitions) are legitimate, highly appreciated careers/positions in the US. Some of my b-school friends, for example, currrently dedicate their careers to doing things like running a school district in San Diego, CA.
