I tend to agree that the cycle will turn but the timing is an issue. Evening if the upturn starts at 2009 it will take some time before recruiting returns to the numbers it was a year or two ago. btw – the majority of graduates from the class of 2008 found jobs late in 2007 or early 2008 which means their recruiting season was much better than what we see these days. With ~50,000 bankers out on the streets seeking for a new job I would hate to be part of the class of 2009 or 2010 for that matter. Graduates of 2011 should be in a better place still it won't be the same market that we saw in 2006 or 2007 when companies kept uping signing bonuses.
