Dear friends,

I am fortunate enough to be organizing the iTrek (the trek to Israel) with two of the brightest minds in the midwest (fellow Israeli students..)

We would like to seek your assistance with an event we are organizing: as part of our campaign to create awareness to the trip, we would like to organize a social gathering, in which the idea is simply to have fun so we could position Israel as a fun place and thus attract people to the experience. Pretty simple. One thought we have is to organize a houmous and israeli salad preparation workshop, so people would prepare the stuff in an assembly line fashion and then sit down for dinner (yes, definitely the lowest common denominator).

Do you have any ideas for fun events or can share from expeirence in your school any thoughts (I think I heard from a few of you about Israeli events as part of multi-national festivals) ?
