Hi Paz,
I agree with what Roy said – you should focus on stories from the recent past (1-2 years) since it doesn't make sense in a normal career progress, that the most responsibility and the most stressful or successful experiences did not occur in your latest work positions.
That being said, if there is a great story that best demonstrates one of your qualities or highlights one of your themes – like an army story for instance – it is not forbidden to use it. Just make sure that it is truly an exceptional story that will not leave the reader wondering – is this the best example that he/she has?
