    Sorry, Assaf,

I was simply replying to what I saw posted. I haven't even posted anything in this site for quite some time. Also, FYI, that chappie from LBS was also 'advertising' , if you want to read it in this manner.

    Regards,

    Maurice P.

    Dear MBA candidates,

I agree with what LBS posted. While TOEFEL scores of 280 or better are preferrable, a candidates overall acedemic record, employment experience afterwards, references, etc. help considerably towards being admitted to an MBA programme. In our institutition, Imperial College (a branch of the U. of London) students also have an option of studying by Distance Learning, ov via their computer, without having to attend actual classes.

This is an excellent option for those who may have a good written and verbal command of English, but feel a lack of self confidence due to a heavy 'local accent' (often the case with candidates from Israel and other Middleastern countries). I will be happy to consult with anyone interested in considering this option to study for an MBA. Tel. interviews with the I.C. Admissions Department can be arranged as well.

    With kind regards,

Maurice Picow, Authorised Intermediary (Israel) Tel: 972-9-8850695 Mobile: 972-52-5398003 Email: [email protected]

Your first impression, especially to a prestige business school, is most important, and will reflect on your academic as well as future business career. Also. if you are applying for any kind of financial aid, wearing casual clothing won't 'cut the mustard'.

Of course, one you're in the university study programme, the normal dress code of your fellow students – casual or otherwise- will be ok, and you can go along accordingly.

    Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that I am presently organising an informal information evening dealing with the MBA programmes at Imperial College in London.

Although the new distance learninig programme will be for focus of this forum, other programmes, including the full time or attendance learning programme may be covered as well.

The evening will be held at the British Council, Ramat Gan, in late February or early March.

Anyone interested in attending please contact me by email or telephone at 972-9-8850695 or 972-52-5398003.

A special information CD is available to all interested persons, without charge.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks, Shoshy, for your kind words.

I realise that most of the forum members have already set their sights on a particular school, and are now trying to satisfy admittance requirements, as well as find the way to pay the costs involved. Those who choose an Israeli school, whether it Tel Aviv U., BGU (where one of my daughters now attends), Michlala ha Menhal, etc., will not doubt receive a good MBA degree.

It all depends, however, on what one is planning to do with the degree afterwards, that will determine whether a foreign school or a local one will fit the bill. Obviously, someone planning to be in a management position at Bank Discount or El Al, etc., can make do with a local MBA degree.

My purpose in presenting a distance learning programme to this forum is to give people an option with a quality educational institution when their personal/family and, other situations prevent them from going abroad to study. I refer to a quality and ranked school and not to the ones that usually advertise their programmes via the internet.

I will definitely take your suggestions to heart, and want everyone to know that whatever they decide will be their best shot. If you or any other forum member need my assitance concerning Imperial College, I will be pleased to help.

I plan to hold an informal 'mini forum' on the I.C. Distance MBA Programme at the British Council in Ramat Gan, some time in mid-to-late February or early March. Anyone interested in attending can kindly contact me and I will not only reserve a place for them at this meeting , but put an informative CD on the programme aside for them as well

Meanwhile, all the best in your MBA study pursuits and GMAT exams.

    Hey, guys, really!

I'm only trying to help! I've got a daugther (who also went to the Azrieli Forum) and was really surprised to see what it costs to go to all those foreign schools.

Those of hyou who can get scholarships to cover most of the tuition, and perhaps part of the living expenses – I commend you!

Those who can't, need other options.

    That's all!

I replied to him. Nothing is 100% Life is full of compromises – unless you're like Bill Gates, or the guy who runs the Virgin consortium. Gates (to my knowledge) never finished his undergraduate degree (though he's been awarded numerous honerary degrees). Both he and Sir Robert Branscum (who is dislectic by the way) can buy most of the universities who were at the forum!

    Cheers,

    Maurice

    OK,

I catch your drift. After seeing what was being offered at the Azreilli forum, and sponsored by Kidum who were definitley out to get potential GMAT students like they used to be ( and still do) for the psychometric exams for undergraduate school, I saw nothing by advetrisement – especially by all the schools there, including the Israeli ones.

My point is simply to offer an alternative study approach. Imperial College doesn't believe in advertising on the internet or in newspapers, or on large billboards (perish the thought!) like U. of Darby and similar schools do.

We try to spread the word on a more personal basis. If I have upset of offended any one, I sincerely appologize.

Incidentally, I haven't heard of U. of Luthuania and their Arad Campus.

But you guys must surely remember the MBA programme offered by the University of Boston at Sde Boker here in Israel. It was a really good deal – while it lasted.

I wish everyone well and hope your'e academic goals work out regarding the school you want to go to. If not, I'm here.

    Dear Dan,

I am sorry if you do not take my messages in proper context. I'm only

trying to present an 'option' to those who for various reasons – including financial – cannot take off and go abroad to study. I was at the MBA Forum at Azrieli and though there were excellent foreign schools being represented, they were very expensive – especially if one includes personal living expenses while there.

If you can swing something like Harvard Business School or Wharton, Kol ha Kavod! If not, I have a solution via a top ranked school.

    Best regards,

    Hi Gilam,

Have you considered Distance Learning to study for an MBA? I represent the Tanaka Business School of Imperial College in London, a highly ranked and well known institution in a variety of fields, and comparible to the Technion in Israel, and MIT in the USA.

Through the Imperial College Distance Learning MBA Programme, you can receive an MBA Dgree in 2 to 5 years, depending on how many course modules you take. If you are now working for a high tech company and plan one day to create a 'start-up' company of your own, an MBA with a specialisation in entrpeneurialship can give you the qualititive edge needed to accomplish this.

The distance learning study curriculum is virtually the same as the full time or attandance learning programme. Tuition and other charges are much more reasonable than other MBA programmes.

I can supply you with a special CD presentation disc that fully covers the distance learning programme at imperial College. I also hope to conduct a forum and seminar for prospective MBA students at the British council in the February. Until then, feel free to contact me for further information (admission requirements, tuition fees, etc.).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Michaligi,

What specialisation (major study) do you want to do in an MBA programme?

I am involved in promoting a new distance learning programme MBA programme being offered worldwide by the Tanaka Business School of Imperial College, a branch of the University of London. Imperial College's MBA programme is now rated in the top ten for international MBA programmes, and in the top 5 in the U.K.

Not everyone is able to go abroad for 1 to 2 years for an advance degree. The distance learning option enables a student to study for an MBA with a quality ranked, well known acedemic institution. Upon completing the programme, an MBA degree will b issued by the University of London, and is fully accepted worldwide.

Imperial College will soon be accepting applications for the Fall, 2005 academic year. If you would like the additional information, including admissions requirements, tuition fees. etc., kindly contact me either by email: [email protected], or telephone: 09-8850695, 052-5398003.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Dear Izaak,

Perhaps you saw my notice regarding obtaing an MBA from Imperial College, U.K. by distance learning?

Though realising that this route isn't for everyone, it is a good option for peope who want a truly quality MBA degree from a higly ranked school.

Many times people (due to their present work, family situation, etc) just can't take off 1-2 years to go abroad to study. Even MBA programmes here in Isael may not be suitable if it means having ot quit your job to study!

If you would like to find out more about this, let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you.

שלום לכולם! הצטרפתי לפורום לאחרונה והבנתי שצריך לספר קצת על עצמי, אז קודם כל כמה דברים כלליים:

    Dear All,

I attended the recent Israel MBA Forum, held at the Azrielli Congress Center in Tel Aviv, and noticed that not one of the schools represented offered an option to study for an MBA by Distance Learning. I am happy to advise you that it is now possible to obtain an MBA degree from Imperial College, a branch of the University of London, by Distance Learning in 2-5 years depending on the number of course modules studied.

I am now designated as an Authorised Intermediary (representative) for the Distance Learning MBA Programme being offered by the Tanaka Business School at the University of London. The programme began in 2002, and now has more than 3,000 students enrolled from all over the world. Upon graduation, a fully accredited MBA Degree will be given by the University of London – a degree that will open doors for you all over the business world.

For those of you not familiar with Imperial College and the University of London, they are highly regarded in the fields of science and technology (they have a medical school as well), and are regarded in a similar light as MIT-Sloan in the USA. Their Tanaka School of Business recently moved to their new location in the South Kensington Campus of Imperial College. Their EMBA programme is currently ranked no. 5 in the U.K. and no. 10 worldwide.

I will be happy to give you additional information regarding the Imperial College Distance Learning MBA Programme, as well as infomation regarding admissions requirements for the fall, 2005 academic year. I have a supply of special promotion CD's that have all information regarding the programme, courses offered, tuition fees, and other relevant informtion.

If you would like to receive on of these CD's, and find out about an oreintation forum to be held soon at the British Council in Ramat Gan, kindly contact me at the following numbers:
