    Hi Avner,

I'm a current Kellogg student (2nd year). I haven't taken SEEK but I can direct you to some students who have, as well as others who are active in combining community services with business here at Kellogg. Leave me your contact info and I'll get in touch.

    Cheers,

    Ron

    Hey Shimon,

When isiting Kellogg, you can come any way you are comfortable with (although I would advise that when meeting administration or faculty you dress business casual – i.e. nice pants and a buttoned shirt tucked in).

Of course, if interviewing in the U.S (on-campus or off-campus), I would recommend coming to the interview wearing a suit.

The end of March-April is a good time to visit Kellogg, although I wouldn't come before March 27 (exams and spring break are between March 13-27 and I wouldn't recommend visiting then). Also, school ends here at June 2nd, so May is a great time to come as well.

The weather at that time in the Chcago area is still cold, but not like it is during December-February, so I wouldn't worry about coming in with a baby (besides, there are lot of couples with babies at Kellogg, and they seem to go out with the children even in the colder months).

There are many hotels in Chicago and Evanston (where Kellogg is located), and I think you can find a list of some suggestions on the Kellogg website. Let me know if you run into a problem, and I'll look into it.

    Hope this helped,

    Ron (1st year – Kellogg)

Just saw your message about comparing Kellogg, Chicago and LBS. If you have any questions regarding Kellogg, its carrer management services (which, in my opinion, are great) or any other stuff, let me know. I'll be happy to help.

Actually, it's not too bad right now – about 5 degrees celsius (people say it's a "heatwave"…).

    LPOW,

I saw your post about being accepted to Kellogg – congratulations!!

Have you decided which school to go to at the end?

I don't know if you were at the Kellogg presentation 10 days ago at Reichman, but in any case, if you have anymore questions about Kellogg, let me know and I'll be happy to answer.

    Ron (1st year at Kellogg)

Everyone else – if you have questions about Kellogg or the application process in general, of course don't hesitate to ask!!! We have a chat just for that here in mbachances, so let me know about any questions and I'll be happy to get back to you.

    LPOW,

Well, about my background – nothing unique – I was a lawyer in Tel Aviv for about 2.5 years (I also have a degree in accounting). I think about half the Israeli MBA students also have law degrees :), although it's not that common in the U.S (since law degrees are also graduate degrees).

My interview with Kellogg was over the phone. I applied on the last day of the second round (1st and 2nd parts of the application), and they didn't have any available alumni to interview me in Israel at the time, so I scheduled a phone interview with them.

The interview itself was very warm, even though it was over the phone. I spoke with a lady from admissions, who asked all te usual question (why MBA? Why Kellogg? Teamwork experience, etc.), and I managed to tell a joke or two as well, so it was fine.

In the interview, try to be warm, outgoing and energetic – Kellogg is A LOT about student involvement and student initiative, so try and show a lot of that.

    Good luck,

    Ron

I'm a current MBA student at Kellogg (1st year) and just saw your questions about the interview. Keep in mind that there is also the possibility of a phone interview (last year they had a lot of applicants so they interviewed me over the phone…).

If you have any more questions, let me know (there is also a separate chat about Kellogg in this site).

Also, around December (I don't know the exact date yet) there will be a student led panel in Israel about Kellogg. The date and location will be posted as soon as they will be finalized.

    Good luck,

    Ron
