Hi Dalit,
Is there an option to take a course in French (languages) during the MBA as an elective? If so, is it suitable for people with no background in the language?
Since it seems that many graduates choose to work in countries other than the UK, is it somehow encouraged to specialize/study languages?
Thanks,
I.D.

Hi Yael,
I was wondering if you are the same Yael that took part in the Video Conference about a year ago together with an Admission member? No special reason I'm asking, just that assuming it was you I remember you talking very passionately about NYU… I'm anxious to hear more… When did you graduate? What position are you holding at the moment?
I hope you can answer my next questions (if anyone else can, please feel free to jump in…): Do you think NYU is suitable for someone with a background in a Mgmt. consulting's technology group who wants to go back to consulting (post-MBA position) and specialize in technology in the Financial Services Industry? What do you think are NYU's biggest strengths in that aspect – specific courses, professors, clubs, competitions?
Thanks,
id

Hi Gil,
Thanks for all the useful information. I have to say that london sounds very welcoming for couples…
As for your last comment about me being a girl – I sure hope to increase the number of Israeli female students at LBS at least by 1!
I was wondering, do you have a lot of parties and events that are organized by students? I know Wharton considers this one of its great prides and I was wondering if a university like LBS, located in such an amazing city takes the effort to organize "student parties" and events… One of my fears about the fact that the school is located in a city like london (no need to elaborate i think) is that there's not enough "student life", not enough involvement in school activities and no "bonding" between the students..
thx,
I.

Hi Gil,
Thanks for your answer, however, don't jump to conclusions by assuming I'm a guy ("if you're married, your wife…") :-). Aside from me there are quite a lot of ladies inquiring about LBS on this forum… ;-)
Having said that, thanks for the info about work permits for married couples. Do you know if there are special dorms arrangements housing, etc. for couples? Does the school help to actually find work for the spouse?
You mentioned there are ways to cut expenses – it'd be great if you could elaborate on that…
Thanks,
I.

Hi Gil,
I'm applying to LBS and I was wondering if you could share your experience with me:
– How's life in london? Is it hard to be a student in such an expensive city?
– Do a lot of I-banks (ML,Lehman, etc.) come to recruit on campus? since the City is so close…
– What are your plans for your post-MBA career? Are you familiar with Equity research at all?
Thanks,
I.
