Politicians of all political stripes and affiliations have suddenly come out of the closet to celebrate the capacity of entrepreneurs to save the world from the consequences of its own excesses. Israel was the first "Start-up Nation", but the US has recently launched "Startup America" followed by the UK's "Startup Britain" as cures to the doldrums of global recession. What's behind this recent flurry of entrepreneurial love, and more importantly, will it survive the next election cycle?
