I would strongly advise you to reach out to the admissions office directly via email.

These things change every year, and they will be the only ones who will be able to give you accurate and up-to-date information.
Of course, this will no affect your candidacy in any way but if you will feel more comfortable forward me your questions ([email protected]) and I will be most happy to reach out to admissions anonymously for you.

Hi Yoni –
My name is Ben and I am a second year student at HBS.

During your visit to HBS I would highly recommend to visit a few classes (there is a difference between the first and second year curriculum, although both will give you a sense of the case method in action).
Also, the HBS admissions office organizes a tour of the school (1 PM daily on weekdays, registration through the admissions website) that can be quite useful and includes lunch with first year students.
Of course, try to speak with the students (and us.. J) when you are here – to get a sense of the place.

Most important: I think its great that you are taking the time to visit the schools and see things for yourself, but please remember it’s not a must (and will not affect your candidacy if you don’t manage to do so).

Note: October 13-14 are no school days because of Columbus Day.
