Hi Assaf,
My answer is a bit long.
I focused on Canadian programs since I am planning to permanently (or at least for several years) live in this country in addition to several other benefits compare to US programs: (1) better welcome international persons, (2) more relax and friendly approach and a way of life, (3) more personal attitude.
The reasons I consider Rotman are because of its “Integrative Thinking” approach that does sound interesting and its very good pre-MBA and orientation offerings. The reason I consider Schulich is the large number of specializations it offer especially the “Operations Management and Information Systems” and “Marketing” options.
Other advantage of these two schools is the fact they offer two years programs whereas the other two leading programs in Canada (Queen's and Ivey's) are one year programs. I believe that a two years program better fulfill my goals of gaining truly deep and thorough knowledge, networking, perfecting my English and benefiting from the other students multi-cultural experience. In addition, both schools located in Toronto which has large Jewish and Israeli communities.
I will be more than happy to hear your opinions on my reasoning since most of it is based on my personal assumptions and feelings and not on facts.
Thanks,
Hagay
