I know many (honestly, many!) that got in after being wait listed. so there is a big hope! but – you need to start work now :-)

write letters, find alumni that know you and can recommend on you, consider visiting the campus. show that it is super important for you to get in. and usually it works!

My coordinator said that they would like to encourage me to start in Singapore, but that it's not a deal-breaker if I decide to wait for Fonty…

I think I'll decide what to do based on the LBS decision…

הייתי היום בראיון קבלה ל- ESADE עם בחורה מהאדמישנס. תוך כדי הראיון היא כל הזמן נתנה פידבק חיובי ובסוף הראיון היא אמרה שוועדת הקבלה מבחינתי תהיה רק חותמת גומי, ושהיא בטוח מקבלת אותי לתוכנית.

What is it with you and delayed answers?

I'm sorry to hear about the ding, I sure know how hard you work for that and how much effort you put in the last year.

But, and that's a big BUT I think Singapore is the best thing that can happen for you (especially if you don't have children yet). A friend of mine studied there for 4 months, and had the time of his life. In the begining I didn't plan on applying to INSEAD but just because of his stories of Singapore I did – not to mention the weekends he spent in Puket, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong and etc.

Nevertheless after 4 months he switched to France and enjoyed both campus.

Now we need to found a new thread – geting prepared actullay starting the MBA. Can you belive that?

Definitely lost it…

I was thinking, after a few dings went out earlier yesterday that only WL and ACCEPTED are left – so I had it at 50-50, but I never thought I'd be dinged… tough year, I guess.

Anyway, Singapore really does sound like a brilliant experience. I'm lucky that my fiancee is completely on the same page and is also really excited… (All I needed to do was to tell her of weekends in Thailand – and she bought into it… )

The crazy thing is that this changes so much – a 1yr degree, no internship, a campus move mid-degree, a second move after finding employment post-grad, a geographic location where my fiancee won't be able to keep her current job… and that's just the start!!

Crazy days here at 'Casa Goldman' (remember the news I got at the beginning of the week??)

But ultimately – We're a happy bunch…

I think that this may be a good time to change my nickname from LBS_Hopeful, though…. any suggestions? I was thinking of something along the lines of "SingaporeSling" like the cocktail as it captures the Alcohol Abuse side of my personality…. What do you think?

אני שמח שאיכשהו רובנו (כמעט כולנו) כאן הצליחו להתקבל לפחות לוכנית אחת בסיבוב הזה – זה דבר שאי אפשר להקל בו ראש…
