First thank you for your time.
My name is Ariel, 29 years old from Israel. I am currently working as a software engineering in an Israeli company who specializing in global campaigns in the internet. I have a 4 year experience in the high tech industry.
My goal today is to boost my career toward management. The field that interests me the most is global strategy. I could say that I am coming from an international background as someone born and raised in France until the age of 7, traveled the world quit a bit and speaks four languages.
Recently I have completed my GMAT exam (660) and I have just begun boosting my application process. I have narrowed my options to a few universities which I perceive as the dream team in the field of international MBAs.
INSEAD is undoubtedly one of my top priorities.
Unfortunately INSEAD doesn't hold for the moment any event in Israel, so I would like, with your help, to understand from your perspective what is your impression from the two years you spent at INSEAD ? In what way do you feel it has changed your life? And finally I would be happy to receive some sort of advice to help me with the application process, as what makes a candidate a potential student at INSEAD (besides a high score GMAT)?

שלום לכולם! הצטרפתי לפורום לאחרונה והבנתי שצריך לספר קצת על עצמי, אז קודם כל כמה דברים כלליים:
שמי אריאל , בן 29 , גר בת"א ,הספיק לגור בכמה יבשות במהלך חיי הקצרים (פריז,ונצואלה ) וגם חרש לא מעט את העולם (דרום אמריקה , הודו , אירופה, אוסטרליה-אבל אין כמו ת"א).כעת ואני נורא מצפה לחוויה של ה- MBA

היום אני עובד בחברת היי -טק       בתפקיד מהנדס תוכנה

למדתי במכללה האקדמאית של ת"א יפו לתואר ראשון במדעי המחשב      סיימתי בממוצע 84

ציון ה- GMAT שלי:  660  

בצבא הייתי בחיל התותחנים      בתפקיד חובש קרבי

אני בשלב סיימתי את השלב הקשור לבחינת ה -GMAT , וכעת אני מעוניין לגבש אסטרגיה יעילה וברורה שתביא אותי לאחת התוכניות המובילות בעולם במנהל עסקים.

בעיקר באתי בשלב הראשוני לספוג כמה שיותר מידע על כל תהליך הקבלה , אבל ככול שהזמן יחלוף , אני בהחלט אשמח לשתף את מידע שאצבור לכל מי שיצטרך.

Hi Gilam,

I am interested in applying for fall 2008.

i have just passed the gmat test in which i got a 660.i have tried to improve it but unfortunately i have failed to do so and got 610.

before i hit you with the questions of what are my chances , i would like to present my background.

i am 29 years old , born in france and arrived at the age of seven to israel.

i have served in the army in a special unit of the artillery forces as a medic and was in charge of a crew of two people.

nowadays , i am serving in the reserve army in the same unit.

after travelling quit a bit , i began studying computer science in tel aviv academic college and earned my BA four years ago.

since then i have worked two years in "NICE" as a QA engineer.afterwards , i moved to "netwise" as programmer and have been working there for one and an half year.

i am a french native speaker and also know spanish.

now to the point…

my goal is primarly to get in one of the top mba programs and especially in those who have a strong reputation for consulting or global management.

t i have no real preference as to a specific school and at this point i am trying to narrow my options.

i know that admissions is tough and demanding and on the surface i may not meet all criteria , but i'm really determined on trying to make the best to get in one of the top school.

what do you think my chances are and what is the best strategy to exercise in order to achieve my goal?
