Hi guys.

I'm applying to chicago and you're very helpul.

I have several questions, that I'll be happy if you coukd answer:

1. took the TOEFL ibt and got 105 (=260 toefl cbt). I'm a little worried that my score is not high enough. Is my score OK comparing to other candidates? Is it low or I can relax?…

2. I'll probably be in the states alone (right now i don't have a girlfriend..), so my question is- How is social life in chicago? do you enjoy your staying there? etc.

3. I started working on the essays and presentation. As people who nade it, do you have any "tips" for me :-)?

שלום לכולם! הצטרפתי לפורום לאחרונה והבנתי שצריך לספר קצת על עצמי, אז קודם כל כמה דברים כלליים:

אני איתי בן 27 מת"א. אוהב מאוד ספורט ובילויים.

אני בעל רקע תעסוקתי של 5 שנים וכרגע אני עובד כר' מדור במחלקת תקציבים ומנהל 2 כפיפים. במקביל אני מתרגל שני קורסים באוניברסיטה במסלול לתואר שני של אונ' ת"א.

למדתי באונ' ת"א תואר ראשון בכלכלה-חשבונאות ותואר שני במימון-חשבונאות (אותו סיימתי בהצטיינות)

ציון ה GMAT שלי הוא 700 אך אני שוקל לעשות בשנית היות ואנני קרוב ל-5 שנות ההתיישנות.

אני מקווה ללמוד מאחרים ולתרום ממה שאני למדתי על תהליך ההרשמה.

Gilam shalom,

I consider studying MBA at one of the Ivy League business schools in the states, and I'll need your counseling and preparing services.

I am a captain in the Israeli Air Force and my job is the head of "income section" in IAF budget department (managing two academic officers). I also work as a teaching assistant in two courses in TAU ("investment theory" and "options and derivatives") and hold an MSc. in finance with honors (a 93 average) from TAU.

I believe that I'll be able to get few good recommendations (from the IAF chief of staff, from the professor I work with and from a friend and a former colleague who finishes his MBA at Ross business school in Michigan this year).

I am afraid that my problem is the GMAT. Although I got a GMAT score of 700 in march 2003, my score on essays part was mediocre ( 2.5- 50^Th percentile). I have several questions and I'll appreciate very much if you could answer me:
· Do the universities pay any attention to the essay part of the GMAT? (Anyway I'll have to do the TOEFL and write essays to the university according to their specific questions).
· I wand to apply for September 2008 (1 ^st round is October 2007)- is my GMAT still valid?
· If I do the GMAT again, what will count? The higher score? The last score? The average?
· Do you suggest me to take the GMAT again?

Finally, what do you think about my chances?
