Hi All,
I went to an information session of LBS last Wednesday and would like to recommend it to everyone who has the chance to get there.
The school looks very nice, a few minutes walk in the COLD from the tube station (that's if you know where you're going to:))
There was some short introduction with 2 nice girls talking about the main ideas of the school, strengths and main courses learned in the MBA.
Then, there was a pretty large forum of about 10 students and alumni who standed on the "stage" and answered questions. The session was stopped at some point and moved to another room where we could talk directly to the students and alumni and ask any question we wanted to. You could then approach the person out of the forum that was most relevant to your background or career.
All the people were very nice, there were light refreshments and drinks served – very nice (wine, soft drinks, chips, nuts, fruites), and the atmosphere was good and cooperative.
I got out with a lot of my questions answered (few more ideas for my essays:)) and a few names of students I can now email for more questions.
I heard that the drop-in sessions are good as well, but didn't try that (if you're in London but no information session event, you may want to try it).
They also have an option to drop in some class to see how it is, sounds cool, I may try that..
