I am glad to hear you are interested in Tuck. I can tell you what I know about religious facilities/possibilities at and around Dartmouth, but the better point of contact will be Alan Operman, who is a religious Israeli student at Tuck. Please contact me offline and I will make the connection. Best, Nahshonבתגובה ל: ארכיון: לחברים בלבד #5754עידכנתי את כרטיס החבר שלי. הכרטיס המעודכן:

Assaf,
Glad to see you're interested in Tuck. While I can answer all of these questions at length on the forum, it will probably be best to have a one-on-one conversation. Please e-mail me at nahsho[email protected] so we could set up a time to talk.
In brief:
I was looking for a top-ten school located in a small place to a) make it more family-friendly and b) make it a richer scholastic experience. If by stats you mean grades, then my GPA is average and GMAT fairly high but not mind-boggling high.
As for family life – Tuck is as family-friendly as possible. Wife working options depends a lot on your visa type (if F, the spouse cannot work, if J, can) and most of the eligible partners (of students with a J visa) manage to find work through Tuck or Dartmouth. I can't talk to older kids' education but at daycare age there are reasonable and affordable options around. Also, I can't talk to other MBA programs but I imagine that programs in smaller towns would be more family-friendly, at least in terms of cost of living.
Not too many Israeli Tuckies at this point – 3 to be exact. Working on increasing those number, though…
As for Tuck's strong points, I think the main one is its size and unique culture, and consequently the availability of professors, staff, classmates, alumni, etc. Tuck has by far the highest percentage of alumni giving back to the school, and that passion is evident in daily school life as well as in every alumni interaction. Other strengths are obviously the quality of the faculty, very high placement rates, at the top of return-for-cost calculations, great education, etc. but these are claims all top-10 schools can make. The full immersion in the experience is not, as far as I know.
Anyhow, feel free to get in touch off-line
Good luck,
Nahshon
בתגובה ל: Post Admission Forum #112SCRIPT>Hi Assaf,
Since at the moment I am the only Israeli at Tuck next year, I guess the
options for a Tuck moderator are rather limited… Hopefully Eyal Megged
will also be admitted and you'll have a more worthy candidate…Regardless, I will gladly be school moderator.
