What are the possibilities for a spouse of an MBA student in teh US?

Do they get a working visa?

It is interesting to see that many of the prestigious schools 'specialize' in non profitable organizations (MALKAR) … Any idea of how come it has such a strong presence? (I'd say it sounds like the way to get into politics…)

A question (a few actually…) regarding the'GMAT' :

1- Who is able to see the GMAT score and how many exams were taken so far by an applicant?

2- Is it true that in several schools, taking a second or a third (or more) GMATs may serve as a disadvantage?

3- Does the higher grade always count?

First of all – CONGRATS!!! When are you starting your MBA?

Second, I heard this from someone who is a Stanford graduate and he strongly recommended an on-campus interview. He said that it shows commitment and seriousness, and that sometimes seeing the person can make a stronger impression.
But I guess that you are right and it sure worked for you so…

and finally … could you tell a bit about the interview you had?

Gilam,

I know that different MBA programs specialize in Different areas (Marketing, Engineering, Finance etc…)

Could you shed any light on the diffreent 'specializations' and which universities are stronger in those areas?

Hope that my questionis not too general…

I am now at the very first stage of inquiring for MBA.

I saw in http://aringo.co.il/HebrewSite/h-schools.htm that there are different ranking between different sources. Those can be quite different from each other. Which is tehmost reliable source? Business week/ Wall Streen Journal/ US News or Financial Times?

I heared that it is not reccommended to get interviewd here in Israel by an alum. When ydo you think it is worth teheffort to go all teh was to the US?

Do you really think it has such a srong impact?

Also, what is tehprocedure after you get interveiwed by an alum? How much 'weight' does it have when the admission board reviews your app?

I would like to ask you a question regarding teh below info I found at aringo.co.il

בד"כ מתקבלים לכל תוכנית, בכל שנה, מועמדים שפער ציוני ה-GMAT שלהם הוא 120 נקודות ויותר. כלומר, בכל שנה מתקבלים להרוורד, וורטון, קולומביה וכו' מועמדים עם GMAT של 640, ונדחים מועמדים עם GMAT של 780.

What does it mean? Is it possible that a high GMAT will eventually prevent you from get accepted to top universities?
