I appreciate all the input and thought you've been putting into this forum – the information has been very helpful!

I'm a wailisted applicant to both Fuqua and Stern and am in the midst of my 'campaign', by sending in additional recommendations and letters re-iterating my interest. I am also considering flying out and visiting the schools and wonder how you think this can help my application, if at all. I have already been interviewed for Duke, yet am waitlisted at NYU w/out an interview. Their policy is to interview by invitation, yet perhaps a visit there could push towards an interview (maybe on the spot?)? How do you think I should go about doing this?

Your thoughts and suggestions are much appreciated!

1. NYU is known for having a strong Finance background – yet I am interested in pursuing a major in Marketing. Can you tell me the advantages of this major over other schools?
2. What is the popularity of marketing concentration (% of graduates who pursue jobs in marketing)?
3. About how many marketing courses are available (Any web site to view the list)?
4. What does the admissions committee look for in a potential candidate? How is this different than other leading schools?
5. How has the recent hi-tech and economic ‘crash’ affect MBA admission at Stern?
