    Hi Moshe.
I probably would apply for class that starts in 2007, however I still do not have a GMAT score. So, I still have not decided to what schools I would try to get.
Anyway I would be happy to chat with you via e-mail, phone or skype.
Contact me at ge_ts at yahoo dot com (or provide your contact info via this forum) and we will get in touch.
Thank you for forwarding my questions to David.

    Hello Gilam.
Thank you very much for your help and information you providing!!!
Few more question if you allow.
Do I have to mention in the essays a particular field, like I-Banking or Tech. management, I would like to work in after graduating or on the other hand it is possible to mention few fields and to write that I would decide during the studies. Because it is relay difficult to decide based on the partial info I can get in Israel. What happens if I write that I want a major in finance and after addmission decides to concentrate on entrepreneurship and strategy, or any other field?
When it is better to contact Aringo, now or after I will have a GMAT score?
I also have some questions I would like to ask on private. Can you please contact me at ge_ts at yahoo dot com, or provide your contact info
    Best Regards,

    Hi All.
My question is mostly addressed to those of you who have a work experience in US after MBA graduation or during interships, however I would be glad to get any information from All the members of this great forum.
As one with tech. background who have a family and considering a career change, the subject of average (and maximum) working hours in different specialization areas, like iBanking, Investment Management, Consulting, traiding, PE, VC, and other , is very important to me. I have heard some people saying that consultants can easily work up to 18-20 hours per day on a regular basis! And an average working day of financial analyst is 16 hours (http://www.vault.com).
Is the amount of work load different on west and east coast?
Is the situation different in Hi-Tech?
Please share you experience, especialy these of you who have families and children.
    Thank you all in advance.

    אני בן 29, מהנדס אלקטרוניקה

היום אני עובד בתפקיד Application Eng.

    Hello Gilam.
Thank you very much for the detailed answer. Since I have never heard about USC (University of Southern California), I would appreciate if you provide some info regarding its B-School (strong areas, rating, brand name, etc.). What do you think about my chances at Chicago and MIT?
    Thank you in advance,

    Hi uastinpowers_2.
Can you please provide an evaluation regarding the contribution of that course to your success in the v part GMAT? Would you be able to prepare to the similar level by selflearning?

    Hello Gilam.

I am considering an MBA abroad, preferably US, and would be more than happy to get your estimation regarding my case and chances. Please note that I still do not have a GMAT score, just starting the preparation, and would also appreciate your guidance regarding the score I need for Top 10/20.

    General:

I am about 29 years old. Electronics Eng. No military background.

    Education:

    · I have an Associated Degree (Handasai) in electronics with an average of 90 (the average refers to the official tests only, the internal grades are much higher.

    · Completed towards BScTE at Holon Institute of Technology 2 years ago. My major was Electronics, however this was dual degree with minor at Technology Education. My average is about 78.3. Please note that this program was sponsored by TAU and I actually have 2 TAU diplomas:

    1. "Boger BeHinuh Technologi"

    2. Teudat Horaa

    Experience Summery:

    • 1.5 years of experience as security guard. Full time position during learning towards AD.
    • About 4 years of experience as a R&D Harware Eng., 3 of them in one of the most known Irsaeli Hi-Tech companies. Mostly 80% position during my studies towards BScTE .
    • 2 years as an Application eng. at small tech. company. Full Time Job.

    R&D Experience:
Design of a variety of products and boards.

    Managerial Experience:
My managerial experience is mostly as project manager of the products I have designed. It includes work with subcontractors, purchasing etc.

    Tech Support/Service Experience:
As an Application Eng. one of my responsibilities is helping our customers to define their needs and to consult them regarding our products. I also have participated as tech. person at an international exhibition that took place at Chicago last summer as a part of our team.

    Marketing Experience:
I have proposed to develop an innovative product that probably would help our company to expose itself internationally. After presenting the concept to some of our customers and getting a positive feedback it was decided to go for it, and I would manage its development.

    Additional Questions:
I know that my major weakness is a low average during my study. If it helps this issue could be explained by working at 80% position, during my study, and the far location of my company offices from my home (average of 3 driving hours a day). Do you think my experience and good GMAT score will enable me to overcome this weakness? On the other hand, can my education (minor at technology education) be a pro in terms of student diversification?
I also think it would be important to mention that at the last 8 month of my work for a known Hi-tech company I was moved from R&D to RMA department ( 80% was not enough for them, as they started some new project and needed a person for 150% position). And when I was at the end of my degree completion I was fired as overqualified for the job (they could hire almost 2 technicians for my R&D salary). Is it a problem? If yes, can I overcome this issue by explaining that the firing had made a positive impact on my grades? I have received 89 for my graduation project due to the fact that I have had enough time to prepare it. I also have found a new job just one month after finishing the Graduation project, and it was Jan 2003, that wasn't easy time to get an offer.
What GMAT score do I need to target for Top 10? For Top 20?

Hope it is enough for an initial estimationJ
    Thank You in advance.

    Hi Itzik.
    Just forgot to ask.
Was the Q part of the test you have done on Feb of higher level than the test you took at 2005? Cuase I have heard that since the new company conducting the test the level of the Q part was raised and the V part was restructured ( more SC questions).
    Thank you in advance,

    Hi Itzik.
Thank you very much for the info.
Is that Irene Orleansky (who teachs at meitav course) who you refer to?
Is her SC book and methods as good and helpful as Meitav people market them?
What was your final grade after the improvement?

    Hi All.
Can you please share your experience with GMAT preparation? Selfpreparation Vs. Course?
What GMAT preparation company can you reccomend?
I know about the following: GMAX, Meitav, Kidum, Princeton Review,
High-Q. Pors Vs. Cons of each course?
How can you rate your experience with these courses? Had you got out of them as much as you have expected?
Since I feel more confident in math part than in verbal, I would like to get your opinion regarding which of the above courses is stronger at verbal part.
Your reccomendations regarding preparation books are also welcomed.
    Thank You All in Advance.
