Hi Yael,
I am interested in applying to NYU starting september 2007.
I am now at the point of choosing which schools to apply. In your oppinion, how strong is the marketing department of the school?
Do you know of other schools who have a relatively strong marketing departments?
thanks for your help.
With best regards,
Osnat

Hi Gilam,
Thanks for your answer regarding recommendations. Now i just have to choose the schools…
I would appreciate your opinion judging from my info:
I’m 26 y.o. Female.
I have a B.A. in Business management from “Mihlala Leminhal”, specializing in Marketing and Investment Banking with an average grade of 80. I’m not sure of my percentage since they don’t provide it.
In the army I served as a Hebrew teacher for children in problem neighborhoods (A voluntary unit).
For the last 4-5 years, professionally, I have been working my way around marketing and the Internet and held several interesting positions).
My current position is a head of the marketing projects division in an Israeli branch of an international Internet advertising agency. I work with some of the biggest companies in Israel.I’m taking the GMAT now (Kidum 700 club), so I don’t have the score yet.
I was thinking towards NYU, Columbia…any suggestions?
Thanks!!
Osnat

Dear Gilam,
I wanted to ask for your expertise in 2 matters:
(I’m not sure yet where I’m applying but I have in my list Columbia and NYU for certain)
1 – If I apply by the January deadline instead of October, how will it affect my chances for getting in and scholarships?
2 – I’m thinking of changing Jobs and need you advice on recommendations.
I’m 26 and currently work in an executive position in an advertising firm. I have very good relations with my CEO, former CEO, the company’s chairman and others. Also, I work with very influential clients many of whom will recommend me.
Who should I approach for recommendations? Should I “use” some for one place and some for the other? Can I use the same ones for different Universities?
Thanks a lot,

Hi,
I went to the presentation last night regarding the London Campus of Chicago business school.
The presentation talked about EMBA which was quite errelevant to me but i'm putting down the highlights if you're interested:1- The MBA takes plase in a campus in downtown London and lasts for 2 years.
2- The actual classes are held for a week each time every 4-5 weeks: 16 weeks in total. (so you fly in each time for a week)
3- The program costs 60,000 pounds! . No scolarships are awailable and wery few loans.
4- No need for GMAT or TOEFL.To: All
hi Udi,
I am thinking about applying to Stern for my MBA in 2006.
Can you tell a little bit more about the admitions process there?
Do you know what they considered an advantage in your aplication?
Is there any possibility for a scolarship or any finantial ade?
Thanks a lot,
Osnat
