Hi Anne,
I had a phone interview and the questions were fairly standard – Why an MBA? Why now? resume related questions (i.e. various experiences listed on resume and transitions of jobs), describe various situations (team and leadership situations).
My advice is that you review your essays and resume shortly before the interview. Also, make sure to demonstrate a clear and logical set of career after graduation, as well as why CMU will help you get achieve these goals.
Best of Luck!!!
P.S I too am planning to visit Pittsburgh by the end of the month and see the school (as I have never been there) before I make my final decision. Please share your experience. In reply to applicant_04 from February═09═2004 on 20:14
Hey applicant_04,
Thanks for advice. I'll keep you posted after I return from Pittsburgh.

Gato,
I've also applied to JS and have yet to receive an interview invitation and so I was wondering:
When did you send in your application? How long did it take from the "application is being reviewed" message until you were notified of an interview invitation?
Where was the interview held and by whom?
In reply to bujanov from February 09 2004 on 20:57
bujanov, I said JS becuase rastinyak asked me for the initials of the person who interviewed me at CBS. what did you mean by JS?
In reply to bujanov from February 09 2004 on 20:57
JS = Johnson (Cornell) ???

In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 21:45
yes
there are 3 interviewers
In reply to gato from February 09 2004 on 21:10
Gato,
I actually meant the Johnson School (Cornell) and I guess from your answer that the question is non-applicable. Thanks any way.
In reply to bujanov from February 09 2004 on 21:53
I applied to Johnson, interviewed over the phone and got an offer two weeks ago.
In reply to yuvala from February 09 2004 on 21:50
There are 2 interviewers for R2. And I believe the question was – are there any interviewees. I know of 1.
In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 21:43
I recently had my W interview per R2. What do you want to know?
Hi guys,
I was invited to an interview by wharton. can you tell me anything about the interviews that are conducted in Israel by alumnii. any info would be great.
In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 22:15
see my post in "Any Israeli Applicants???"
In reply to YouKnoWho from February 09 2004 on 22:06
Do you know who the interviewers are?
In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 22:47
post your Cell # or mail it offline to: [email protected] and I'll call you later tonight.
In reply to kassifo from February 09 2004 on 21:59
Kassifo,
From your given time frame I get you are a R1 applicant. I'm a R2 and trying to find out when approx are interviews sent out prior to decision notification- I'm in the long stretch of waiting- envying you as you are over with that.
In reply to bujanov from February 09 2004 on 23:59
I got invited just two weeks before the decision day. I was interviewed a week later and got the news a week after that.
If you want some details call me at 052-858900 (Oren).
Good luck!
In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 22:45
the adcomm doesn't care where you interview.
you probably have better chances in israel.good luck
In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 22:45
IMHO you're better off interviewing in Israel since people there have a better understanding of the significance of things you did so far.
In reply to mbaq from February 10 2004 on 16:33
It really should not matter for you. All Israeli alumni who interview are great.. And, your chances won't be affected by this choice.
In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 22:45
Interviewing in Israel with Wharton alumni is the best option for you.
In reply to mbaq from February 09 2004 on 22:15
Basically, the interviewer will try to figure out if you meet the high standards set in your written application. Sp, make sure you know to communicate all your stories, stand behind your impressive promises, and can explain why Wharton, why now and why you.
In reply to apeled from February 10 2004 on 23:22
In reply to mbaq from February 11 2004 on 14:03
all interviewers do not read the application of the candidate that they are interviwing… even if they are members of adcomm.
In reply to mbaq from February 11 2004 on 14:03
Can You share your stats (GMAT,GPA,Work Experience etc…)
Thanks.

My name is Gal and I am a second-year student at Harvard Business School. I am happy to take questions of potential candidates, posted on MBAChances. Thanks.
In reply to gnadir from February 14 2004 on 22:17
How do you feel so far about the study method at Harvard?
I understand that it's diffrent then other business schools because it is mainly based on the case study method.
Thanks.SCRIPT>

In reply to dz108 from February 15 2004 on 10:09
In reply to gbiron from February 15 2004 on 12:00
In reply to dz108 from February 15 2004 on 12:14
In reply to gbiron from February 15 2004 on 12:17
LOL
In reply to dz108 from February 15 2004 on 12:29
In reply to gbiron from February 15 2004 on 09:42
In reply to omri from February 14 2004 on 11:08
Does anyone know how many Israelis got interview invitation to W for the second round so far?
In reply to donner from February 15 2004 on 18:12
In reply to mbawannabe from February 15 2004 on 18:33
