following several requests we were able to cut a deal with the ARMANI store in Kikar Hamedina in Tel-Aviv, they agreed to sell us suit in a very respectable discount (25%+) they say we can buy suits for ~ 3500 NIS which is way better than the 6000+ regular price. if anyone is interested, you should go to the store and ask for Shimi or Ernesto and say you are from the students that are going to study abroad

Hi Romb,

some more thoughts on finding the concentrations of the schools:

1) Chicago is also very strong in Finance.

2) Look at the placements reports to see which companies where the biggest recruiters.

3) If you have a dream job- look at the CV's of the management and the lower ranked people in the organization to find correnlations between schools and the work place.

To add something to the lengthy answer by Amit, you can go to the IIMBA under the "about us" section you can find the schools moderators, who will be happy to assist you (or you can just click on this link http://www.iimba.org/moderators.asp) also we are holding the "how to get into top mba schools" panel on the 9th at the Interdisciplinary center in Herzeliya at 19:30 and there will be respresentatives from most school.

I personally going to Chicago this September and I was also WL at Stanford and HBS (with no luck at both) and will be happy to assist

Hi Romb,

For the other 2 questions:

1) It could be sufficient if you would market it well, but one more year of work would only help you.

2) You should start the GMAT and TOEFL soon, since from my experience it is important to try and apply in the early rounds (the early the better) so in order for you to have the chance of taking the exam again and study enough time I would start the process now- it is still very much possible to gain admittence to the 2004 year

3) I would suggest that you would show up to the event we (the IIMBA team) are holding on the 9th (details in our web page- http://www.iimba.org)

Hi Gilam,

I was just wondering why didn't you reccomended Sivbi to try and apply to other top general managment schools such as: HBS and Stanford- I knot that it would be more difficult but still why shouldn't he aim for them?

Certainly his stats are enough and it's just a matter of marketing it well.

Hi Adi,

Most of the top MBA schools have a concentration in this area (except maybe for the General managment focused ones- H and S), just a point on the matter, If this is what you wish to focus on I would emphesize it very much in my essays – I am sure it will give you a great edge over the other appliactions, but it requires some thoughts regarding the exact positioning of your past experience and ambitions.
