I see you all think I am wrong. Perhaps you are right. I also read the BW forum and saw that people around the world got invites in the last days. Still, in Israel Devash interviews all Israeli and he gets a list per round together…

For those waiting, I hope I am wrong and you get an invite soon. I too waited until the last day…. It was indeed painful

I applied in R1. I know that then all initerviews came in one day. Yesterday R2 invites were delivered. If you don't believe it, contact Itzik Devash, the sole interviewr.

I disagree. I think HBS sent their invites yesterday and that is it.

    Good luck anyway

My personal opinion (despite personal plans to do an MBA) is that MBA is far from being a certain investment. For me (Law background) it is a way of doing a career change, an expensive and risky one, but the market for young lawyers in business isn't that attractive… Furthermore, I am very interested in living in the US and working there for a while, so it's at least I am not sacrificing time…

My opinion is that with today's salaries and signing bonus, it will take time to pay off the education and may be a very arguable investment if you plan to return to Israel very soon after… So it depends a lot about you – what lifestyle you will have there what backing you got, how passionate you are about a career change and/or living abroad….

I am learning the hard way that it's very hard to get in this schools. (after no interview in S/H, and hearing about very strong candidates who got rejected or waitlisted in W). R2 is even harder – I decided to apply to other schools then I initally thought – I think that if you really want to get in, you should apply to more schools, just in case. My sense is that after doing H/S/K, you pretty much can do any school within a weekend effort

I would be happy to hear other opinions about the Wharton presentation:
I am applying to R2 (will send everything next week) and I must say I was very disappointed. On one hand, I think the fact that so many current students came demonstrates the high % of Israeli as well as their excitement with the school. On the other hand, the all evening was somewhat poorly organized, deadly boring (I mean the presenter seemed like a nice guy but not the best choice for presenting), and the messages were quite lame and ordinary.
Above all, I didn’t sense most of the Israeli guys are people I would be excited to work with or are especially impressive on other dimensions.
I am sure the admits would be quite prejudice, but I wonder if it strengthen or weaken your propensity to choose (if you will have choice) Wharton.

    ?Would did you all think

    Hi Assaf,

Do you know how many Israeli were admitted in R1? were there many waitlist? does it mean that the chances for R2 applicants are lower?

    Hi Gilam,

Do you know statsistics for the Wharton R1? (Israeli)

Is it true that they put many on waitlist pending till they see R2 apps?

    Gilam,

On HBS, you have convinced me to stop wait for an invite. good luck to those interviewd.

On Stanford, however, strangely, I did not even receive a confirmation yet that my application is considered in round 1 – I understood you only get (or don't get) an interview after that e-mail…

What do you know about it? have you helped Stanford applicants this year?

I would be over 31 at graduation… and respectively I probably have more "full time" (under their definition) experience….

You are very young, nonetheless I am sure that if you decided to go soon you won't be happy to wait long

Do not get me wrong – I wish you good luck, I am just aware of how hard it is to get to this schools, particularly HBS and GSB.

BTW – what do you consider young?

    Hi Gilam,

Do you know of people who got HBS interviews?

I heard of a friend of a friend last week.

I have 770 GMAT, I work in a top Law office with great track record (almost tripled my salary), finished Law in Tel Aviv 1/400+, have strong recommendations (one from senior Israeli minister), elite army unit (few awards, including from the president), rich extra-curricular activity and some more strengths…

Kind of expected to get an interview…

    Thanks
