Your military service should be emphasized.

How many of your future class mates protected their countries for 3-4 years of their lives?

How many of which were doing it as infantry soldiers?

And then, how many are diversified enough to contribute to their societies as individuals, to achieve first and second degree and work in an international company?

You pay 20$, get a VIP account and have access to real GMAT math questions from the last month. When I did my test, I recognized 10/37 questions before even reading.

You are speaking about people in big technology corporates who chose to manage abroad. However, I'm not sure that the experience they get will leverage their career as much as Ivy-League MBA can. IL-MBA is your ticket to prolifaring american companies. It can buy you work opportunities that you have never dreamt about.

However, any kind of MBA is crucial for one's success. When applying to a job, one might be screened before interviewed if others have MBA and he doesn't. So OpenU might do the work as well…

Hi Itai

I have though about this option many times.

I know that experience in international managment could boost my C.V.

However, I can't believe that after two years of relocation with an outstanding salary, I could force myself to work on an application…

I guess that a relocation will close the 2 year MBA option, but it will create a new option for a 1 year EMBA.

If I will not succeed this year, that could be a nice plan B.

From what I understood the test is not changing completely – Only a face lift. I guess that you may use the CBT material as a base and the formal tests from ETS as a full reference.

Pay attention that it takes about a month to receive the ETS CD, better try downloading it.

Regarding old material:

1) ETS old CD

2) Cambridge CD

3)Longman CD.

The best thing you can try is look for the word TOEFL or IBT at the e-mule…

Since I needed to understand how important is the MBA in the Israeli technology market, I started sniffing. I collected some data over porduct managers, program leaders, VP of Marketing etc.

It seems that the company wants the manager to have an international scent. This may be achieved by an international experience, MBA at an english speaking country or even by being an american citizen with native english capabilities.

From what I found out, many israeli talents prefer taking their MBA in TAU or any other college in Israel.

I personally know a product manager at Comverse who got his MBA from a lonesome university at the UK.

Your correspondence is blessed.

I guess that many of us know that they want to have an MBA abroad but are not sure how it will contribute to their career. Therefore they choose to apply to the best universities in order verify that whatever career they will have, their resume will buy their way up.

However, from a small reaserch I did, It seems that an ivy league MBA does not justify its high investment for graduates who return to Israel after less than 2-5 years of experience abroad.

It seems that for the main technology companies in Israel, An international degree is important, less the university name.

For such career aims I would recommend finding a nice university of the US top 50 (a 1 year degree is preferable) that is willing to give you a significant scholarship. The ods to find a job in Israel with that degree are similar to finding a job with a degree from any non-familiar-in-Israel-Top-20-university.

From your descriptions the school sounds amazing.

As a person with a background at engineering and with four year experience at Intel, Stanford was my natural choice. However I'm afraid that my odds are not high with my GMAT grade.

I think that I will do some more reaserch regarding my chances before letting go.

אני בשלב האחרון של בחירת בתי הספר ל 2007.

יש לי דילמה עצומה האם להירשם לסטנפורד. מצד אחד יש לי ציון ג'ימט יחסית נמוך והבנתי שהסיכוי שלי לא גבוה(באופן ספציפי לסטנפורד) .

מצד שני אני מבין שזהו המוסד הנחשק ביותר בקרב הישראלים.

האם מישהו מכם יכול לענות על שאלת מליון הדולר- למה דווקא סטנפורד?

אני תומך מאד בדעתו של איתי.

הגעתי לקורס במיטב מכיוון שבחיים לא למדתי דקדוק אנגלי (בטח שלא בתיכון).

הקורס הינו ממצה ונותן יסודות מעולים.

בתחילת הדרך הייתי ממש אנטי קורסים אבל אחרי שעשיתי, אני לא מצטער לרגע.

סחתיין על החשיבה היצירתית. כנראה שאני אוסיף את ההדרכה לרצף המנהיגותי, אבל לא אוכל להשתמש בה כתרומה "מובהקת" לקהילה.

אני בן 28 גר ברמת גן ומתכנן ללמוד באחת מה top10.

היום אני עובד באינטל כמהנדס חומרה.

למדתי בטכניון הנדסת מחשבים.

עוד לא עשיתי GMAT. לא יודע עוד מתי ואיך.
