Ohad,
there must be a reason for all these Israeli lawyers trying to move on through a U.S. MBA, but for life of me I don't know what it is…
j/kIn any event, I am not waitlisted at Columbia. I just got a ding. Although surprising, I have managed to get over it. Being accepted to MIT and Kellogg helped me learn to live with the rejection.
Let's keep the Israeli Legal/MBA network growing strong and useful in the future.

Apparently I got the best day in London this winter. While it was stormy here in Israel I was walking around London enjoying the sun.
Although I am already a father, this new one is not here yet so hold the congratulations (unless they relate to Kellogg – see seperate post on that). It looks like it might be a few more days and we don't want any bad karma…

I appreciate the offer and your good intentions.
I am sure they understand the situation. The woman from the admissions with whom I correpsonded was very nice about it but basically made it clear there was nothing she can do other than hold on to the London interview spot for me or offer me to interview in NY at my convenience after the birth. Considering I even got ouf of Meluim (and that is a first) because of this situation I would have expected a little more understanding on Stern's part.
Maybe they don't really like me as an applicant all that much and are therefore willing to see me give up on the process…
In any event, I need to make my decision today. I'll keep you all posted.

That is how it worked in my undergrad here in Israel…

Although I am making it clear ahead of time that I have no intention of writing the likes of 'War and Peace", or any other novel for that matter. I am more of a Cliffnotes guy, if you know what I mean.

The school sites usually have pretty good instructions and links to the official IRS web site and relevant forms.
Have you been reporting your taxes in the U.S. till now? That is the first step and the FAFSA is just another one of the many forms you need to fill out when doing so.
I am currently in the midst of this process myself. I hope to be more knowledgeable on this subject by the end of the week.

Think of the unbelieveable chance you have earned in your spot at Babson, and of the many people here who have yet to hear good news.
We can't get too greedy!
A month ago you would just be happy to get admitted.Now that we are back in the right perspective – maybe your wife who is going to Harvard will be eligible for better loans and then you guys can take a bigger portion of the loans you need through her terms, for example to cover her tuition and your living expenses and that will only leave you to cover your tuition with your less favorable loan terms.
