    Eyal,

I am interested in working in marketing and from friends I spoke with at various schools I was told Chicago has a hard core image (quant). It seems that marketing jobs are geographically clustered and that schools lioke NYU and Col have a clear advantage being based in NYC.

    Whats your take and that?

Another question is it worth visiting the school over rosh hashana?

    thanks!

    Gilam,

Thanks for your help on this site.

I have a quick question regarding Columbia: How strict is the 6000$ requirment in the early decision stage? Can I some how dodge it if I am admitted to another school?

    Thanks!

Could you summarize each school strength and weakness in a few words? I know it is biased but still better than nothing…

America is tough with its reglations – European countries are much more partner friendly (read: automatic visas)

    Gilam,

I am currently a student at TAU graduating in a few months with a degree in economics.

I have secured a job with a leading international firm (a real blue chip) and a small dynamic israeli start up. I am planning to commence an MBA in two years time but dont know which job would advance me to my goals.

The global firm is a brand name on the cv with exciting oppertunities but surely will have less oppertunities to lead change vs. a small dynamic company where i will have a stronger impact.

I know that the BW guru Sandy would recommend to choose the blue chip, but in an Israeli context wouldn't a start give me the chance to write my own story? How important is this blue chip thing?

BTW: Is it true the strong global economy is making this year realtively easier than in the past?

    Thanks!

    W

I cant believe you dimwits. Do you guys really consider yourselves to be top applicants for the leading schools with that grammar? Or are you just hoping that the Bschools are that desperate this year? which they must be if you guys are accepted…
All I can do is hope that you guys have used the grammar and spelling tools on your essays, or have you not heard of MS Word… they say it works.
So guys…. does it really worth it? Are you really worth it? Or are the Bschools that high….

Some people go to the UK, easier for their spouse to find work (automatic visa). A good US MBA should open doors in London

Anyone interested in working in the abroad should check this out –

    http://www.workpermit.com/uk/hsmp_calculator_under_28.htm

It is much easier to get a visa in the UK than in the US

If you have 5 years of w/e and an MBA you will find it easier to get a visa in the UK than in the US. You can get a UK visa without a sponsoring company (huge flexibility) and your spouse can work as well (a huge plus vs. US). Check the UK HSMP (high skill migrant program)
BTW: London is the second biggest finance center in the world.
